A week or so ago we did a shoot for some summer inspired looks. We shot 2 new pieces we have in store, the Jasmine Dress & Yinka Jacket, and re-shoot some other pieces from our previous collection. Below are some of my favorite shots from the shoot. I love mixing African Print or African Inspired pieces we simple everyday wear.. This makes it easier to wear your unique African pieces often and to any event.
Today we vended at the Ujamaa Family Festival is Dallas, Texas.. It was a fun family friendly event with lots of culturally enriching activities for both kids and adults, . The festival showcased performers and businesses that are focused on serving the African American family.. As always, we enjoyed every minute of it and met a lot of amazing people. We got a taste of Wakanda and had a chance to take pictures with King T'Challa. #WakandForever. Looking forward to the next event with Ujamaa Events.

In October 2015, we took part in our very first Pop Up Shop with Zuvaa. It was so amazing that we couldn't wait to do it again. We loved meeting some of you ladies that have been following us on instagram and have always loved our collection. And we absolutely loved meeting and introducing ourselves to our new customers. We can't wait to meet you all again at our next event.
Throwback to our first ever showcase was at the K&L Gates' Networking Event. Held on October 22, 2015. This company is committed to celebrating women entrepreneurship, so this event was held to feature several DC area-based leading female creative business owners focused on fashion and jewelry design. We were asked to exhibit our work and be available for discussions regarding our portfolio, as well as our businesses’ challenges and successes. It was a great event and we're so glad to have met some of the amazing women professionals in the DC area. Thanks to K&L Gates for the opportunity.
